Post on urban legends

To start one of the biggest and widely known urban legends that date back over 50 years and more back is that the story of the locness monster. Said to be a prehistoric water being some believe to be a dinosaur, there are many myths and stories on the locness monster, commonly known as nessie. Between it being a water creature that has been at the bottom of the ocean for centuries and surfaces at night, and it being a prehistoric being surviving in the ocean because nothing can go as deep as it lives. There have been many incidents where people believe that they have seen the lockness monster. The thing is every time it comes up that it was nessie it is either proven wrong, or the picture is to fuzzy, or there is just not enough of the image to show proof. Nessie still remains a myth, a story, and an urban legend.

Another urban legend is the one of big foot, a tall hairy creature that somewhat resembles a primitive man. Most stories that you here of Bigfoot, or in some cases biggidy big foot tell of this creature living somewhere in rural areas, or forests and woods. Unlike the lockness monster more people believe that Bigfoot actually exists because of foot prints, and stories that hunters, and hikers come back with. Though what they actually saw is probably just a bear, or a dear. Some stories of Bigfoot have been that he is a gentle creature that just comes out to roam around. Other stories are that Bigfoot is a hostile creature that lives in the woods to feed on animals. Many people that believe in the hostile version of Bigfoot believe the people who go into the woods, and don’t return are capture by Bigfoot and eaten.

There are stories of Bigfoot sightings all over the world, so is there more than one or are people just exaggerating. And if is more than one Bigfoot does that make him an urban legend. Bigfoot from the olden days, to the modern days has changed. They now have food commercials where they use Bigfoot as advertisement. Like the jerky commercials.
Some believe that Bigfoot is a cave man that survived for thousands of years. But there is no real way to tell. Bigfoot still remains a myth, a story, and an urban legend.

My last myth that I will tell about is the one of the Abominable snowman.
This legend has many names, yeti, ice demon, frozen Bigfoot, and many others, the yeti is said to live in very cold and snowy climates, traditionally near mountains.
Most legends that you hear about him is that he is a hostile being very large strong, and lives in ice caves near mountains. There have been stories of sightings of the Abominable snowman, also picture exclaiming that it is the yeti. The myth has been around for years and is both used in campfire stories, and media, such as movies.
The Abominable snow man remains a myth, a story, and an urban legend.

To conclude this is my post on the many stories of old, and new time legends, this is my research on myths, stories, and also URBAN LEGENDS.

You explained several urban legends, but did not provide a well developed introduction or conclusion. Grade = C+
